[LEAK] New Cosmic Type and Moves Revealed - Major Changes Coming
Some internal documents reveal a huge shake-up in the upcoming games: a brand-new Cosmic type with some exciting new mechanics. These changes are not for Pokémon Legends:Z-A, but are set to appear in the next mainline Pokémon game. Here are some details from the leaked files:
Cosmic Type - Type Matchups
The Cosmic type is set to have some unique interactions with other types:
•Super Effective: Ground, Steel, Dragon
•Not Very Effective: Flying, Psychic, Fairy
•Weak to: Ice, Dark, Electric
•Half Damage from: Ground, Poison, Flying
•No Effect: None
This new type seems to be a powerful counter to Ground and Steel, while being weak against Ice and Electric—perfect for some strategic counters.
New Weather Effect: Starlight
A new weather condition, Starlight, will fill the battlefield with cosmic energy, drastically changing the flow of battle.
•Cosmic-type moves gain a 40% power boost under Starlight.
•Flying, Psychic, and Fairy-type moves suffer a 20% power reduction.
•Ground-type moves will have their accuracy decreased by 20%.
•Pokémon with the Galactic Aura ability can summon Starlight when entering battle.
This new weather effect will make Cosmic-type Pokémon even more dominant, but also bring some unexpected twists to strategy.
New Move: Singulock
One of the most exciting new moves is Singulock, a Cosmic-type status move that can dramatically affect the flow of battle:

•Accuracy: 100
•PP: 10
•Effect:
Creates a gravity field that prevents all opposing Pokémon from switching out.
Reduces the Speed of affected Pokémon by 1 stage each turn.
Deals small but increasing damage each turn (up to 25% of the target's HP after several turns).
The gravity field lasts until the end of the battle or until the Pokémon using Singulock is knocked out.
With Singulock, players will be able to lock down their opponents and slowly wear them down with consistent damage, making it a perfect tool for stall strategies.
These details were gathered from early internal test documents, and though we can't confirm everything, the leaked info points to some significant changes to the battle meta in the next Pokémon games. Expect the Cosmic type to change the game as we know it!
